Priest: Let us pray for our own needs and those of all nations called to behold the light of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
Reader: May the star which led the Magi to the infant Saviour lead us towards our heavenly home.
Priest: Lord hear us. All: Lord graciously hear us.
Reader: We pray for children abused or neglected everywhere. We pray for parents in difficulty or danger. May they all find the protection, support and kindness for which they long.
Priest: Lord hear us. All: Lord graciously hear us.
Reader: We pray for all those who are inquiring into the Catholic faith and for those who are seeking full communion. May our life and worship lead them to Christ, the light of the peoples.
Priest: Lord hear us. All: Lord graciously hear us.
Reader: We pray for all those who care for the sick; for doctors, nurses, chaplains and carers: may they be filled with compassion and bring hope and comfort to those in their care.
Priest: Lord hear us. All: Lord graciously hear us.
Reader: Have mercy, O Lord, on those who have died in the storms and landslides in the Philippines; comfort those who mourn, the wounded and those who have lost their possessions. May they receive all the help they need to re-build their shattered lives.
