The SPARK from God that weaves it's way through every aspect of my life has been the greatest inspiration of beauty for my creative work as an artist. This gift of faith sustains me through my own journey of life's ups and downs.
My work can sometimes interpret Bible stories in a representational way by the use of symbolism, and stylisation; at other times my paintings are an emotional response from my interior to Scripture that has touched me deeply. I would often express this in a more abstract way, neither technique being lesser or greater than the other but an inspirational response from the SPARK and reference to my own journey of faith that challenges, redefines and awakens the truth and beauty of Scripture. I am often left wondering how I can paint the mystery.
