Facilities
We have a chapel where one can find peace and tranquility amidst the busy city, and a meeting room which also houses a small library. we have also developed meeting facilities in our basement. Please feel free to use these rooms; we make no charge for them.
Saturdays
The 'Benedictine Prayer Group of St. Scholastica for Peace" meets fortnightly on Saturdays at 10am in our chapel- All are welcome.
Mondays
Once every four weeks, 1B organises the evening's soup run. A team of three or four people meet at 1B about 8.30pm, collect the soup and then travel around the city centre, offering food and clothing to some of Bristol's homeless people. We are always delighted to have help with this; the dates over the coming months are Apr 28, may 26, Jun23, Jul 21. Please contact any of us in the house if you are interested in helping, or if you would like to donate any of your unwanted bedding.
Tuesdays
Every Tuesday evening we hold a meeting at 1B for young adults and other people who are interested in exploring issues of faith and justice in their lives. The evenings include a mixture of social evenings, talks/group discussions and prayer & worship reflections. We meet about 8pm for coffee and start at about 8.15 pm. We aim to finish by 9.45 pm. We welcome anyone to join us for any or all of these evenings; please feel free to come along.
